So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

The stroking of your ego feels sooo good at MBB. Ngggggn
Personally, I think there’s a lot more than just the $ (and exit opps). Includes:
The people you’ll work with - plenty of good people at big 4, but MBB is like working with full teams of the best people in big 4. The low is simply a lot higher.
The type of projects / clients you’ll work with - though the work is becoming more similar over time, MBB still does more strategy work and typically works with more executive level clients. This is on average of course, your experience may differ.
I feel like my firm really cares about me - when I worked in big4, I very much felt like a number. I was easily replaceable and the firm didn’t care much. That’s the opposite of how I feel at BCG. This shows in staff appreciation events, benefits, etc. Yes, the benefits are much better.
I have way more responsibility at MBB - good or bad, a lot more is expected of you. If you like that, it’s a plus, if not, it’s a con. MBB is also more up or out. There’s no coasting. Once again, good or bad, depending on what you’re looking for.
I could probably go on for a bit, but I’ll stop here. To me, it’s a totally different experience. And pays way more.
This is great to hear, as I’m transitioning from big 4 to BCG and wasn’t sure if the people / firm caring more pieces were any different.
Smarter colleagues who challenge you and expand the way you think is the real advantage tho- same argument about Ivy League schools versus state schools
All four check out. But mostly it’s about filling the needs of our own ego. If all you care about is exit, we can all achieve the same exit. And once you get it, who cares how you get it?
Why did op leave out ey
