[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Are you in a high deductible health plan? If so, and that’s what it sounds like, the 5000 is a deductible for all medical not just mental health benefits. OR. Your therapist might be out of network and you are in a regular PPO plan that has a separate out of network deductible.
I would look on your plans website and you should be able to see your deductible balance, see where you are with your balances and if you have a separate Out of Network deductible.
I would also confirm that the therapist you are going to see is in network. If they are not, it’s open enrollment time and you might be able to switch to a plan where they are in network.
Either way... REMEMBER, if you are with ACN, your deductible resets in January so if you start meeting that deductible now, it’s gonna reset in January. Ping me with what you find out and I’d be happy to give you some advice.
Cont...not sure if this is good or not. Just looking for some market intel as to whether our mental health benefits are good or bad or medium.
Holy crap. My therapist bills insurance as an office visit, so once I hit the $600 deductible inclusive of therapy and regular doctors, it's covered at 90%. Visits are about $70 when it's deductible and $7 once I'm in the coinsurance bucket. I also pay for the top health plan option, so... yeah.
How much is your premium? I’m leaving the UK to take a job in the US and curious about what my premium will look like for $600 deductible.
Doesn't sound right, most states have parity with mental and medical so I echo the comments above that I'd check the network and provider. I pay $14 now, and around $80 or so when the deductible isn't met.
