I had a interview with the partner where in the last few minutes he mentioned they are taking their time with the process and a final decision might be made a month or two from now so I shouldn’t be discouraged if I don’t hear back for some time. I first submitted an application a month ago. What could this be about?EY
I recently finished my Masters in Cyber Security and have a Bachelors in Software Development. As much as I love the technical aspect of my degrees, I think the happiest me would be in tech sales. I had found an opportunity at IBM for entry level sales starting in 2023 and was wondering if anyone had gone through this or the Summit program? Looking for insight on applying and would love to chat with anyone who has or currently works for IBM! Thanks in advance!

Natural charisma… that’s my single most pertinent factor… if you can’t have a conversation with a stranger and demonstrate a genuine interest in what they have to say, I don’t want you in my office…
I need producers… not pikers…
The personality hire for the win!
It’s called charisma
Do you think that’s all it really takes?
I have to agree with the very first comment. I think charisma, good energy and a good personality make a huge differece. People joke when they say, "personality hires," but there is some truth to it.
I will say having a good personality gets people so far in life. Guess it holds true for the office too
I'd say looking interested in the position and knowing what you'd be doing and what the company actually does. I feel like for hiring managers, if they come across a candidate who knows about the company and understands how they'd be contributing through their role. You need to show that you're not just interested in the money
I'm curious!

I think charisma like other people mentioned is something that will get you hired across the board, but for those that struggle with that, I think it's also how you can hold up conversation with the individuals with the people you're interviewing with.

Although, I believe that a person shouldn't be hired on charisma and personality, we see it happen often
