What does your clinic do when owners request care and then cannot afford the bill. We do not have a payment plan system and this shocks me. Had someone have to open a new credit card today.

At our vet clinic, we take the financial responsibility of our clients very seriously. We understand that sometimes the cost of care can be expensive, so we try to provide the best care possible at the most affordable rate. For those who are unable to pay their bill, we always do our best to work with them and try to come up with a solution that works for everyone. Today, for example, I was able to work with a client who needed to open a new credit card in order to cover their bill.

Why don't you have any kind of payment plan? That seems like a fault on the part of your clinic. People may not always be able to afford the care their pets need, but they should still be able to get that care.

The vet clinic I work at also does not offer a payment plan. Too many people do not pay. Recently someone blocked the clinic’s number. Care Credit is recommended. If a client brings up that cost is an issue there are low-cost vets that they are referred to.

We first check to see if the patients have insurance, if not they have to have a card on file. If for some reason the payment doesn't go through then when try to collect the debt then it goes to collections

When, or if you set time aside to take care of yourself or do something for yourself, what do you do? I'm realizing I don't really have any "healthy" ways of relaxing outside of work, so drop whatever you got. It's starting to affect my personal life and I'm worried I won't be able to have healthy relationships unless I can take care of myself first.

I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?

Saw my therapist this past Friday and he gave me a useful trick to build better behavior patterns. Whenever you have work to do but would rather nap or something, tell yourself 3 negative effects of the nap and 3 positive effects of doing the work. You might still take the nap, but if you can get in the habit of thinking of it negatively, you'll take less naps when you need to be doing other things.

Doesn't matter what the activities are. Could be working out vs eating more, could be socializing IRL vs wasting time in FB (lol)

Anyone else heard of this/tried it?

Hi guys

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?
