You can get a good small power bank for a phone in that range. They're not glamorous gifts but they're practical and come in very handy. I'm biased though, I was in a hurricane recently and power banks took on enormous importance when the electric was out for a few days.

I like this idea! Very useful

It depends on the person. We always fill out a sheet for secret santa that lists things we enjoy or like. I always take that list and put together a cute little basket of that persons favorite thing. However people do love giftcards as well so they can buy what they want.

If you work in an office then a gift card to a local cafe or lunch spot is nice. If not then some kind of food sampler type thing like they have at Trader Joe’s.

Sometimes I get a Starbucks or Dunkin gift card from someone, and I love it!

Starbucks or Panera gift card, or Amazon gift card? 🎁

Last year I put a 20$ gift card in a mug with a hot chocolate and tea bag. I’m thinking this year of giving out some nice planner/journals with pens. I try something that is small, but like the nicer end of it. Plus a good all around option when you don’t know the person well.

Compression socks!!!! New badge reel. New lanyard. Pack of nice pens!!! We love a great writing pen!!!

Hydration items, badge clips, head covers, gift cards

I think lottery tickets, I dont like gift cards, they seem thoughtless and cheap unless if its something really unique and you know of co workers talking about it. or put cash, or a check, or best items are stationary items that would be fun and can be used at home or at work and reminded of the fun times. Like a coffee mug or some funny plaque, or poster, or some thing like a neck pillow, or blanket, and so on. Socks lol

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?
