Bain & Company Fishes, I wonder if you have suggestion on office selection, I am finishing my dual degree(advanced degree and applying for post MBA level job) next year and now applying for consulting roles in the states. I have never been to the states and will only arrive on campus in Fall. I am keen on Seattle and SF offices but I have no affiliation or experience there. Any suggestions? You start with fingers, if you accumulate more negative balance you work your way into an arm and then an arm and a leg.
I went negative for planned time off when I started and didn't have a positive balance till nearly two years in.
It varies over time but most I was ever negative was probably 7-9 days. I'd say 4-5 days most of the time.
Problems EY doesn’t have!
But does that really happen in practice?
You can definitely go negative. Not sure if there is a cap (like five days negative or something like that)
Really?
I think u can go upto 40 hours of negative pto
I had like -6 days because of a planned vacation I had shortly after I was hired.
I know at Accenture they have a “5 free days” policy. Does D have anything like this?
They give us a full week off for Xmas
If you work for the firm, call 1-800-Deloitte and they can walk you through it. I’m sure it varies by talent model as well. If you don’t work for the firm, maybe someone knows.
It doesn’t matter you can go negative
I don’t know how negative you can go, but this was something someone asked during D orientation and the answer was yes you can go negative on PTO
It ultimately doesn’t really matter. If you separate from the firm with a negative balance, you actually owe the firm for that time, like they would you, if you had had a balance upon separation.
How do you go negative, they give us so much pto?
I don’t but I was curious.
What if you want to leave with negative PTO
One week negative.
