Anyone have experience getting anti anxiety meds to take as needed without a diagnosis (the right way though). Or any home remedies for anxiety that aren’t mediation and yoga and exercise?

I don’t have it constantly but when I do have anxiety attacks i hate how I feel during and after

My dr wouldn't give unless I saw a therapist. So I just started taking cbd gummies

You need to see a therapist. Easy to become dependent/increase your tolerance. If the first therapist doesn't work, move on to the next.

Just got a psychiatrist and tell them you have anxiety and get some Xanax.

I Don't think it's addicting.

Go workout and cardio.

Hello, I’m an LMSW in Michigan. I have 15 years of experience in the field as a clinician, supervisor, and an administrator. I am feeling burnt out and unsure of my future. I have worked mainly in the Community Mental Health and the VA Health systems, hence my fatigue. I’ve flirted with private practice work in the past, but my spouse has been worried about not having affordable healthcare and benefits that each system provides. Is it worth the jump? Am I overthinking things?

Saw my therapist this past Friday and he gave me a useful trick to build better behavior patterns. Whenever you have work to do but would rather nap or something, tell yourself 3 negative effects of the nap and 3 positive effects of doing the work. You might still take the nap, but if you can get in the habit of thinking of it negatively, you'll take less naps when you need to be doing other things.

Doesn't matter what the activities are. Could be working out vs eating more, could be socializing IRL vs wasting time in FB (lol)

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
