That's about right...
I think you just need to factor in the difference in when considering full compensation. If the increase in compensation does not cover the increase in medical costs, then it is not worth it, but if the increase is above and beyond that, then go for it.
New plan is on the higher end I'd think, plus they're front-loading the costs with high premiums. Is that your only plan option?

$0 for single coverage under HDHP.
I pay $136/week for a family plan with a $7k deductible (with company contribution to HSA). My husband has major medical conditions to manage, so we always hit OOP max, but are using the HSA to accelerate retirement savings
PPO Plan. Zero direct paycheck deduction. Company pays about $34k for my family coverage. $2,500 annual deductible.
