What is everyones opinions on FOMO? I think it screams immature and a bit insecure. I used to have it so this may be hypocritical but I no longer do, I love staying in, making food, sitting in bed, & sleeping early. But, my friends still go out several times a week and are constantly posting their 'cool' lives on social media. When I tell my friends this, they say im being 'lame' or 'boring'. Ik they're joking but its annoying. I just want another perspective on this do I find new friends?

Any millennials here worried about their parents retirement? My parents are set financially but I’m worried about their lack of hobbies and social life. They watch a lot of news, politics, stock market, and sports. However not much more than that. I feel I’d be fine with that if they were in their 80s or older but they’re early 60s. Has anyone ever been in a mostly platonic relationship? I don’t like to label myself much, but I don’t really like intimacy and don’t really like romance. Some people would say I’m asexual/aromantic, but unless that too is a spectrum, I don’t think I fit squarely into that group. As I get older, I’m realizing I’m feeling very lonely. I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. I’m a CPA and originally got into this for a stable / interesting job, but in the long-term I’d like to do something that either influences drafting of tax legislation or helps the public (however naive that may sound). Hi Fishes need your suggestions please. I have an interview with PWC for GCP DE Manager, currently working in pure technical role as data engineer. YoE 12.5, cctc 10.5 and holding offers till 23.5 fixed and few more in pipeline, expecting till 27 with 40 days left in np. How much can I ask for a senior manager level in PWC AC Bangalore and how difficult is the work and transition from pure technical to managerial role? I am still bit reluctant to leave tech side, is it good in long run?

In what sort of situations would one be conflicted out of lateraling to a firm after reviving an offer? I.e., how do conflict checks work?

I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?
