Turns out that unlimited PTO policy isn't so unlimited.... 😂😂
Deloitte is 6 weeks
5 weeks here.
The idea with unlimited is people won't take the same amount of vacation as those firms with limits to vaca. We have a mindset not waste our vacation, that's impossible for people with unlimited. Even with my current 3 weeks I found it rather difficult to take all my vacation. I likely would not take as much as I did without the cap.
Also, no vacation is paid out upon exiting the irm with unlimited. There's really no upside to unlimited vaca, it's a recruiting gimmick.
We are 5 weeks
EY1 is 100% accurate. Unlimited PTO (at least in the context of a large high employee turnover professional services firm), is purely a move to eliminate $ on payouts of PTO accruals when people quit.
Yup standard is 5 1/2 weeks vacation (22 days) and 2 1/2 weeks holiday (12 days) - 7 weeks total
30 days of pto, which includes sick time and vacation. (If sick for more than a week, doesn’t come out of pto). Plus holidays of 10 days plus usually 2 extra over Xmas
176 hours (so 23 days)
@rsm1 Baha for real? I don’t know much about it, just heard the unlimited buzzword
GT is unlimited
5 weeks
Pwc1 176 is 22 days not 23
BDO is 28 days
Agree with ey1. Unlimited is a scam. We used to have unlimited sick time, I never took a single sick day. We changed to 10 sick days per year and now I use all my sick day.
Unlimited PTO is a scam. Ours is 4 weeks. I think you get 5 weeks at 10 years
PwC don’t forget the extra holidays. It’s been years since we only had the official 10
