What is everyone’s pto policy at manager and above? RSM does unlimited, KPMG told me 5 weeks for all. Others?

I love when coworkers say “Enjoy your PTO, it’s so well deserved.” Like what? It’s in my offer letter and part of my compensation, I’m entitled to it. We all are.

Has anyone heard or experienced going on maternity leave, then leaving shortly after returning? I'm hearing from my husband's company if he takes pat leave, and leaves shortly after returning, he'd have to repay the wages paid while out on leave. Is this only for pat leave and the person who gives birth wouldn't have to pay back as it's technically disability pay? Trying to weigh my options as I want to get out of my company, but want the mat leave first.

Today is my orientation @EY GDS. Any recommendations that I should need to know!? Any questions that I should keep in focus!?

Any United health group remote employees here? I recently accepted an accounting job and some of the onboard makes it seem like I’m only allowed to work from my home office. How does a person change their mindset to be more positive? I feel like I’m meant for my job, but blame all my life problems on it….having no energy, being single at the age of 30, etc. and it seems like a never ending loop. I look for new jobs, realize I have a good job then am ok for a bit then start it all over again. When I’m off of work I’m fine and realize I have it pretty good. Only real negative is I can’t vacation with my family in March due to my busy time.

I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. I have been a practicing (patent prosecution) lawyer in different firms for about 20 years. I would love to do something more creative but still techie (computers, telecom, apps, etc.). I've always been interested in improving the software that practicing lawyers use (whether patent-specific or not).
