Does anyone have advice in how to transition into a corporate job from a small company?

I am currently in Retail Project Management (coming up on 2 years) right now and am looking to make a shift into real estate finance. My degree is in finance, and I am really looking to pair that degree with my passion for real estate investment. Any suggestions on how to make the transition? I am just concerned on how to sell my current experience to a finance-specific role. Any thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated!

First-year tax staff that started end of Q3, and just had my first year-end performance evaluation meeting. Still a blank slate in terms of tax experience, but I honestly do have a slight interest in international tax. Brought it up and I was given some names to find some work opportunities in that area. I found an Austin young professionals group, but it’s almost entirely realtors and loan people. Which is fine, but I’m looking for more typical networking professionals groups.

I liked the Project management institute, but I’m looking for more. Either General professional, finance, tech, or healthcare focused ones would be ideal.
