Is it worth becoming certified in compensation? I have 5 years of benefits and my new employer wants me to move into Total Rewards. Is this a better career move than just remaining in Benefits?

I’ve been in the SE role for over a 1 year now, coming directly out of undergraduate. My company’s pay is low compared to what I’ve seen at other companies but I do enjoy the work and the organization. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Anyone else getting pay cut during these times?? Our institution just announced that we are getting pay cuts starting tomorrow if we don’t see 3 Telehealth patients an hour .

I accepted a job offer in April to start a few months from now, post clerkship. All conflicts/background check went smoothly etc. Since accepting my offer, the firm has increased their 1st year pay across the board to be higher than my offer was (which was, at the time, what 2nd yeas got). When should I reach out to the recruitment attorney leading up to my start date? Or should I? (Haven't spoken since May) Should I bring up the salary or just assume its higher?
