Maybe I’m too low on the totem pole…but why do all these articles and websites and frankly this post lead us average people to believing you can negotiate anything other than your base salary if you’re working for a large company? It’s all standardized. It usually goes by grade level and years of seniority. Never in my life have I heard anyone being able to negotiate different PTO other than what’s in the handbook/PTO chart. Maybe I need to make it to executive level for that to happen, I don’t know.
My friend just negotiated extra PTO.
Salary, title, pto, bonus and hybrid vs remote are all negotiable and should be discussed during the offering process.
I have learned there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking.
It’s based on your Corp level. Officer, AVP, VP, SVP, DR, MD all get different PTO packages.
As well, regional dependencies dictate what those packages are.
Buy additional vacation day lol. Sounds like Black Mirror
Try to negotiate something right in the middle of the company biggest reorg in two decades and in the industry at the moment hahaha 😂 Let’s us know how it goes. 🤣
PTO is the easiest thing to negotiate
