What is VCDP bench in Cognizant?

I am lateral hire. I joined Cognizant 3 weeks before, 1 day After joining my allocation happened in one of the account. After three weeks my manager said your allocation is not correct we are putting you in vcdp and I am in vcdp pool.

Can any one explain what impact it will have, what is ADP and VCDP and bench Policy.

Should I do it? I don’t want to fail at both jobs. Is that even reasonable to ask someone to work on both jobs?

Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

Web Developer vs DevOps I'm confused between these 2 career path. Any idea which would be better in terms of growth , salary and more remote opportunities. I have 6 months of time before I switch because I'm currently on bench and after 6 months it'll be YOE . Please help guys I'm hella confused.

Dilemma: I am 1 of 4 workstream leads on a large digital transformation programme. My background is Enterprise Architecture, and I am leading a team that includes Enterprise, Solution, Integration and Data Archs.

If I wasn't so desperate for the resources, I'd roll off 2 new integration archs that recently joined.

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

I feel like being a customs agent requires a special type of person. It seems like such a straining job that I want to commend them.
