I got a call from HR and offer discussion was over couple of weeks back and still waiting for them to send me final mail to release offer. May I know if they take this much time to release offer, when I did a follow up call after 10 days they said they are waiting for some approval to release offer.
Any ideas i still have chances to get offer? BNY Mellon

The pitfalls of inorganic growth. They're acquiring all these smaller firms who likely have a good number of staff that don't have the requisite experience for the clients that BDO has. Layoffs were inevitable.
^They're winning public jobs but still don't have the resources to do a fully compliant SOX audit. They continue to get killed on PCAOB Reviews, specifically on AS5 and integrating their audits. They really need to commit to fully staffing these PCAOB jobs with the necessary resources to do the job correctly. Totally agree with you on stretching staff too thin. They try to run a PCAOB engagement like just another one of their non-SOX engagements and it's just not fair to the staff.
The expansion offices are incompetent.
At some part the partners need to be held accountable for bringing in revenue and blowing the budget that they created for "expected" growth.
I believe Pittsburgh was hit hard last week
^BDO management must have seen some value when they merged them in. All that I've seen lately is that they trim the fat, and then the morale of the remaining staff drops. So much for a bigger and better BDO. I think Matt Becker and Wayne Berson need to rethink their strategy.
Seems no one is safe. Ive seen regional financial reports....
Expansion officers are taking a beating
I heard that there may be some with the SS&G and UHY groups

Chicago had layoffs too

^What exactly is BDOs firm vision? Do they want to be a competitor to the B4? Do they want to be the best in the mid market and own that market? What vision does management communicate to the employees of the firm?
They have a large gap to make make up if they want to close in on #4. They have the depth of knowledge to take on the Big 4, as they're winning more public audits. However, they're stretching their staff too thin to get the financial results to make it work. Their CLIMB vision looked good at it's start, but I now have my doubts.
