Consulting. Everything is changing constantly and creativity is rewarded. 3 out of my 4 partners have ADHD.
I'm in consulting as well, have been doing it for 10 years. The short-term nature of the projects and tight deadlines get me going.
Two full time sales jobs because I can move super fast and keep my brain moving lol.
Creative fields. Project management is the opposite of creative.
So relatable
I somewhat agree with consulting but would also push back on it. Lots of overwhelm that exacerbates executive dysfunction and anxiety, constant networking, sucking up, and even more that neurodivergent people tend to struggle with. But there are also pros. Depends on the individual.

Consultative sales and management
Product ownership is what I enjoy.
Not me thinking “product ownership” was just a snarky way of saying I like to own stuff. Looool
consulting
I work in commercial real estate asset management - I basically oversee the performance of commercial buildings and work on the go forward strategy of them (budgeting, capital planning, refinance etc).
Similar to what a lot of consultants are saying, it’s really fast paced, and no two days are the same so it keeps my brain interested.
I’m not very open about my ADHD at work, but I will say I always get complimented on how much I can handle it one time and truly I just have a great memory and can balance a lot of things (because of ADHD) so I think the way my brain works is a compliment to the environment in which I work.
I do worry about burnout long term but I’ve been doing it for about 8 years and am happy (most of the time) in this career.

Sales! Dopamine hit. Like Business Development roles. Also investigative or research roles. We love a good deep dive into something random.
