What would be a good industry exit opportunity with a data analytics/engineering background

What kind of companies pay more than $200k base and what practice areas? Remote or Texas. I’m a new attorney between M&A and L&E, but I’m willing to switch practice areas for the best exit options in the future (4-5 yoe).

Do any of the top consulting firms hire into the Engagement Manager level after an M7 (if they had manager experience elsewhere)? I know MBB probably doesn’t but what about other tier 2 firms after that - and asking for US or Canada

How long were you an SAE before promoting to AS?

How many people earn a degree in Engineering but don’t pursue a career in it,for whatever reason?I know at least one and I don’t know why they spent all that time and money if they weren’t going continue in it

At what point did you realize that you no longer had to fight to make it? Certain number of clients? Certain number of AUM? Maybe never?

Does anyone have a lead on / advice on finding PM positions over $220k/yr? It seems like most positions I’m targeting are closer to $150k and I’m currently at $190+. I’m not sure I qualify for big tech Director level (would be open to and great for startup Director Level)…it seems I’m a great fit for many Sales Ops / GTM PM roles but most I’m finding promote the ~$200k+ people internally and the job reqs are ~IC 4/5. I’ve designed and implemented many successful worldwide programs.

Relocating to NYC. Lived in crappy FiDi, Gramercy and UES apartments at beginning of my career. I have been away from NY for a good while and would like to know what’s the downside of living in Jersey City? Now that I am able to afford Manhattan, the price and space you get in JC is weirdly becoming appealing. Thoughts on the location? Will likely be working from home 3 to 4 days a week.

Is it bad that I want to aim to work 9-5s? Is it bad that I feel guilty for wanting to work 8 hour days? I want to just have time end of day, spend some evening with family and have my time. Basically to live life? Enjoy the journey? I love my job and work. There also stuff more important than ads?

The role is of data governance manager. What should I know for the interview, or how can I prepare for it? Any thoughts? They told me I don’t need financial background.
