What would you say the average tenure is for a big 4 worker. Over under 3 years?

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

Hey folks, I am interested in sustainability and the entire finance aspect of it. However my exp in th area is woefully inadequate. I'm trying to read up. Currently in the finance transformation team at EY (not related at all to sustainability). And no background studies wise.
Is there any chance B4 hire ppl who are interested. Have been with the firm 5 years, but haven't asked yet if they can internally move me.

For those of you that jumped from Big 4 to smaller audit firms, what are some of the things that you did that helped you have a successful and fulfilling career at your smaller firm?

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

Partners, At IBM we have Band 8, 9, 10 (AP). If the three banded people were to apply for an opportunity in BIG 4, what levels will they typically be slotted?

My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.

I actually love it. I was a paralegal in BL during law school. Maybe I am use to the environment? What am I missing? Help me remove the rose colored glasses. The cases are interesting, pay is fantastic, offices are beautiful, and the research resources are a big reason why I never want to leave. My boss assigns projects with unclear expectations and provides no guidance on how to achieve them.

I've asked for help, and, to avoid a long post, she expects me to figure it out. Perhaps you go through this too, but when I don't have a clear guide on completing big projects, it paralyzes me because I don't know where to start. On top of that, I have anxiety, so "it has to be perfect".

I feel like I need a career coach because I am considering switching jobs but I don’t know where to go or where to start. I feel really overwhelmed and don’t know what I’m qualified for. Do all B4 firms match only 25% on our 401k contributions up to 6%?

My employer is giving me a federal disaster relief payment. The IRS Code 139 indicates that individuals will not be required to account for actual expenses to qualify for the exclusion... is there anything on my end that I should keep track of? Did anyone else’s employer do the same?
