Whatever you do stay employed as long as you can. The economy and job market is in the toilet. Every opening even outside of big law is a gauntlet where dozens of qualified people are applying who are out of work. I may have to do DoorDash shortly to survive.

I’m struggling at the moment to gauge how much I should be getting paid in my position as i feel I’m heavily underpaid for the work I do, which includes managing digital marketing operations across 12+ countries, manage the studio/creatives plus lead on any campaigns and strategies, etc. I’m also remote UK-based although my company is international. Recently interviewed at Adobe, it was great. Even the senior designer I was connected with escalated it a lot. But then suddenly after the last interview, I haven’t heard in a week from them even after multiple follow ups. Recruiter said she will reach out on Monday, but even Tuesday passed now. Help me get over my covid anxiety: had plans with a friend but they got exposed to covid. Got a neg rapid test but feel like they have a sore throat and still want to hang. A friend was told their firm will cut ties EOY if certain things don’t improve. Friend had planned to quit in the next year anyway (to start their own business), so there is no real incentive to bend over backwards. Friend’s goal is to keep the income for a little longer, but to minimize conflict / headaches. What’s the best move here? Wait until EOY and take the severance? Give 6 / 9 / 12 months’ notice now? Is there such a thing as too much notice? Could too much notice backfire?
