How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
I need help with my interviewing skills
Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

I usually just do my homework to know who I'm meeting with. Spend maybe a half hour the night before/morning of. Personally, I don't think any of us should be normalizing or creating any more hoops to jump through to get a job. Think we should respect ourselves and each other a little more than that, but that's just my two cents.
Presentations - but they are required for tech interviews (plus submitting a test of some sort).

When my partner and I were juniors looking for a job, an ECD said he loved our folio but wasn’t convinced we could do day-to-day retail ideas that would be required along with the big brand campaigns. So we made him an ad with a two-for-one offer on ourselves - two weeks freelance for the price of one. He hired us full time immediately (but paid in full).
As a junior, I showed a CD an idea for one of his clients. It worked.

Tech presos, multiple rounds of interviews, client chemistry meetings, the whole bit. Too damn much, frankly.

Whatever you do.. DONT do tests for free.
I would also be opposed to paid tests. It lowers your rate.
