McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Prestige / Clout, learning opportunities, much more interesting work, better culture / community, stronger network
1/ Prestige
2/ Exit Ops
3/ Perks
I wanted to manage teams of people who would push themselves and push me as hard as I push.
People prestige and interesting work
I’m moving to Bain in a few months. My top 3 reasons (apart of Salary and Career progression):
1. Project caliber: bigger projects with a much higher impact.
2. Learning curve: in hand with the big projects, you also work with top-notch consultants. The ones who moved from B4 to MBB were the best in their field. Working with smart, self driven professionals makes you grow faster. (Corollary: if you’re the smartest in the room, you are in the wrong room)
3. Pride/prestige: here it’s twofold. (1) personal satisfaction; (2) Prestige opens you doors for better exit opportunities
I haven't looked back to big 4. Good move.
Can someone elaborate on better culture lol not saying big four is better but I can’t see how MBB is..
I joined during COVID so a little harder to compare but it’s deff a team environment. I’d just say expectations of you are higher
Better exposure to experts.
Much more internal knowledge & IP to leverage from.
Big4 has way too many service lines now I cannot quite see how it converges.
