Go ahead and apply anyway. The past few jobs I've gotten all had a number of requirements in the listing that I didn't meet. There isn't going to be a unicorn candidate for every job.
Definitely apply. I have gotten hired with only 3 years of experience when there was a minimum 5 year experience requirement. I use those "requirements" as desires, not absolute musts.
One thing that being on the hiring end has taught me is that our list of requirements is actually more of a wish list than anything. It would be awesome if someone had every single skill and quality we've listed. But the majority of people don't. I would say apply anyway!
Pro
Apply. Even checking every box doesn't mean much nowadays.
It’s hard because depending on the company, they may get hundreds if not thousands of applicants, many of which do have all the listed requirements and a lot of recruiters don’t know how your experience can translate to the listed requirements (for example, you’ve worked in AWS, but the job says Azure. Recruiters don’t see that and feel it’s close to equivalent) .
Apply anyways. You never know and it never hurts
Agreed. Also consider how quickly you could learn and ramp up in 60-90 days. Beyond that point expectations start to rise and grace is gone.
Apply anyway. No body will check all boxes.
