Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA
Is the switching cost/risk and higher COL worth it?

Take the offer, that is an insane amount of equity compared to what they were offering 2 years ago (also L4) when I joined. Your total comp should be through the roof in 2023. WLB varies by team- no one sends emails or Slacks after 5pm EST on my team and no meetings before 9

YOE? What type of role?
Idk about the wlb in the pm roles, the ones I work with seem a little stressed because a lot of their engineers left them in the last year. But if they mentioned that their team was well staffed in the interviews then it might be fine.
Faang, and that's pretty good for an L4
Why FAANG - benefits or brand?
Is this Tc good for Bay Area?
I mean maybe in engineering/tech the wlb is bad (and by engineering I mean actually writing code). But I don’t see a lot of people active on slack after 6, and teams are generally pretty outcome focused. They aren’t gonna make you grind and do a hundred micro revisions to a deck for it to ultimately say the same thing.
It’s possible you could be on a bad team, but kinda hard to know without actually doing it. There is also a fair bit of internal mobility to different teams as well.
Make sure the equity is valued at current price. I talked to them a few months ago and the target comp assumed a $300 stock price…I’ve never seen another company quote comp like that.
Yeah it’s kinda strange. The system works well for a growth stock because the shares that vest every quarter is stable but the value of each vesting period is going up. My understanding is that most of the time it has been public employees have been able to capture upside over the internal share price, but the COVID bump threw things out of whack. Just depends now whether you think the stock will grow or not over the next 5-10 years and how much you hold/cash out at each vesting period.
What’s L4?
