Pupper didn't like the wind

Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?

All of the above.
Low performers first then employees who are paid too much for their level. Since I’ve been in B4 I’ve seen a consistent stream of low performers be let go every year for associates through seniors. Almost all of them have been on PIP prior to being let go but know this year that step has been skipped for a lot of them.
For KPMG audit they likely have already been put on the PIP or had the discussions with their PML during interim reviews letting them know there is worry about them. I think what will be coming before FYE will be layoffs. So during September we’ll be seeing the actual layoffs occur. I’ve heard whisperings of about 20 audit folk who will be laid off in the upcoming weeks in my BU.
directors that have been passed over for MD a few times or have been a director for longer than normal will probably also be on the block
Usually it’s not done at the local partner level. Either regional or national leadership will review feedback (snapshots at pwc), current pay, metrics such as utilization/overtime and make the decision,
I think the MDs need to be most concerned. Low performers have mostly been purged at this point. Now they’ll look to offload the highest earners—- simple to reallocate those portfolios to partners. They will absolutely sacrifice MDs to save partners
lot of truth here - but also recognize MDs are effectively doing P work and getting paid a fraction of what a P gets. cheap labor
Low performers...who conveniently will also be the highly paid for their level.
How would we know if we are a low performer?
You PML or coach or equivalent should have told you during your interim/year end reviews. Typical people aren’t truly blindsided when it comes to layoffs and will have had feedback of not meeting expectations.
