Make consulting great again
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

Can’t hear you down here when you’re speaking from your high horse

I hear ya. Nothing good comes with comparing to others. Focus on yourself and your growth trajectory. Set goals on where you want to be, role you want, money, lifestyle etc
Haha you’re getting made fun of but I get it.
The important thing is to celebrate each moment! My first internship paid $13 and I remember calling literally every person I knew out of happiness. When I got into B4 I was stoked and was one of those cringey people who put “incoming X” on LinkedIn. Then when I left for tech I couldn’t stop being happy. I think I must’ve gained 5 lbs because every dessert was justified with an “I deserve this”.
Gotta compare yourself against others to take the next step but don’t forget to be happy along the way 😄
You are right. After a successful career before consulting, I’ve learned my sweet spot in terms of salary, and have a great pension from before. The most important thing to me is non-toxic, enjoyable work that is meaningful.
I have not found that yet, but.....lol
Yeah...it is a tough realization.
Being envious of others will never end. It is an endless game. Don’t stress and worry what others have. Enjoy what you have and continue to grow at your own pace. Enjoy life
Exactly what I was thinking last night!!! God bless us
I thought we were all doing this out of pure unadulterated PASSION lolol
It’s a fair point. A lot of people just chasing
I’m envious of how much mckinsey folks get paid to sell opioids
