Why would you bring up a negative review? Just ask questions with the goal of getting whatever info you’re seeking.
Never. If you’re concerned about negative reviews, don’t bother showing up to the interview.
Never. Come to your own conclusions based on the people you meet. Ask about the opposite of what you have heard - for example if it says people micromanage ask about whether people are given ownership and authority to get things done. But never bring up what is likely to be the grumblings of a disgruntled ex employee
Every company has their fair share of that. I guess the question is not when to bring it up but how not let that scare you. And by you i mostly mean me.
Echoing those 2 👆🏼. Don’t bring it up if you want the job. If you don’t really want or need the job, then feel free to ask about the negative reviews and see how they respond
I would, and have, in the first in-person interview. If the issues you are seeing seem valid and are of concern, why not just ask them. If you don't ask and just walk away, you've removed any opportunity for understanding. You don't need to accept their answer, but their response can inform your opinion. Additionally, it shows that you e done your research. An interview is a two-way interaction. You're not trying to convince them to hire you, you're both trying to figure out if you can work together.
Would you buy a car without kicking the tires? Ask but know you won’t get the truth. Better to ask former employees you trust.
I have a bit of a different take as I always ask folks what they’ve heard about us. If you’re interested in the position, I think it is a good question to ask.
Thanks! I will try asking around the direct criticisms
All about how you frame it. “Whats the culture like? I love everyone ive met so far and cant understand why people are so harsh on this agency on glassdoor?”
