Need advice. I am a 30 year old that is trying to learn more about investing for retirement and savings. Currently have a 401k but know I need to do more. I make a little over 40k a year, have about $3,500 total in savings, and actively save about $300-$400 a month. What is the best way I can grow my savings? I want to invest for retirement but I also need to save short term for a home(currently renting),car, and planning to get married late next year( we are eloping) . Where should I start?

I am also getting married next year and will be 31. Worried that I am running out of time to have kids but am not that far along in my career ( I didn’t get my degree until I was 28) any advice?

I work in-house and when I was interviewing I made it very clear that I was moving to in-house to have work life balance. I knew it was still figuring out the organizational part of the team but I thought since I said that was my biggest interest moving to in-house they wouldn’t hire me if it weren’t the case. Well it wasn’t and working has been incredibly tough. I’ve learned fairly early that I am happiest when I get to spend time with family and friends and without that I become depressed.
Currently in sales. 26. Take extreme pride in my work and the effort I put into it. I know it sounds like a greedy millennial, but I feel very underpaid and undervalued. I am competitive and have been successful in sales. Looking for my next step in my career. Ideally remote. Any suggestions? Have been applying but haven’t been getting much action back. Thanks

Please visit and read this article: https://ourworldindata.org/mortality-risk-covid I routinely assign articles from this site. They’re easy to understand no matter your stats experience. The site is VERY well respected.
Ignore what side of the debate you’re on; pause to understand the math of CoVid fatalities. The article is not political. It explains how to calculate case fatality, crude mortality, and infection fatality plus how they can/can’t be used. News from all sides interchange these stats, but they mean very different things.
saw this and would live your thoughts
Hi! I had an interview for a job with the DOL that I applied for on usajobs. The interview was exactly 3 weeks ago today and they have called my references. I haven’t heard any updates and I know it can be a very slow process but do you think I should reach out to the interviewer via email to follow up or no? Thanks!
