Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

Dodge the question if it’s not HR or the head of the department. People are weird and even weirder about money.
I like to tell candidates that the next time we talk I’ll ask about salary (so they have time to think). Then, so long as what they want is within the “bands” of the job, they get it. I’m not here to haggle, I’m here to help them make as much money as possible.
Ugh they really shouldn’t be asking until the time comes 🤦🏻♀️ it’s an interview faux pas. Should be reserved for your recruiter or HR rep.
You should have an answer in mind though, but rule of thumb that I’ve always heard is to provide a range, not a hard number
Who was the interview with? Recruiter? HR? Manager? In the moment I usually say - right now I’m interested in figuring if this is the right job for me. What is the proposed salary for the position? But you should have a sense going in if what comp should look like. And I always pick top side of range.
I did answer, and aimed high for the range I believed fair. He would be the manager of the position I was interviewing for. Thanks all!
Salary goals?!
Never. Ever low ball your self.
Aim high, the worse answer you can get is a “no it’s too high” and work from there
