In an attempt to be healthier, I built a permanent standing desk. Now, once every couple hours my Apple Watch reminds me “it’s time to stand up” and I feel superior to all those chair sitters out there.

Working on a regular desk and my laptop has been killing my back and neck for last few years. Finally spent a couple hundred dollars on a standing desk, wireless keyboard, and back/neck heating pad to alleviate the pain. Very hopeful working will be much better now.

Got an offer as a Senior 2 in EY’s FAAS practice for $117,500 base and $12,500 bonus. Home office is San Francisco. Is this expected for that position? Any insights?

Due to a recent company-wide increase and additional pay for bilingual direct reports I am only making a dollar and change above them as their supervisor. I was hired into this position in March, having been the first employee in this department. I really tried to get them to budge on salary, they did not, but shortly after accepting they gave the whole company a dollar raise.

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. Now recently I got a offer frm wipro. here also I did not tell that I was earlier termined by wipro.If wipro asks me to provide NSR details during my joining, does NSR have my previous exp in their db? So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can.
