Rural Texas. Live in a tent. Trap rodents for food. You’ll be rich in a year or less!
Puerto Rico or any rural/small town area in the South
There are some pretty good tax incentives for PR.

I wish I was that cool to let go of a house 😅 my Indian parents would probably just disown me 😂
I would pick either TN, TX, FL, NV due to no state tax. From there, it depends how you define comfortable. If all you need is a small house, internet and a walmart, then almost any small town might be fine as long as you confirm that decent cable broadband is available.
I want city access, so I would pick a somewhat big city and maybe live in an exurb. Memphis might be a good blend of urban and cheap.
350-425k? That sounds somewhat pricier than expected for a FIRE lifestyle. I'd probably pick a cheaper, smaller place and sacrifice on the neighborhood, schools, etc. (No kids here)
Cincinnati, Cleveland, Louisville, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Kansas City

Kansas City is a low cost of living and pretty cool place. Centrally located if you want to travel. But not close to mountains.
Until Californian day traders move there w/their Range Rovers and drive up the cost of living!

Somewhere in Texas or Florida.
No income tax and cheaper.
Then just invest in cheaper rental properties and invest my money until I hit fire 🔥
Memphis. No state income tax, cheap housing, hasn’t been hit with the COL increase yet that Nashville has

Why isn't rurual Washington ever considered? Sure prices in SEA have skyrocketed, but outside of there prices aren't so bad.
Midwest rural for sure. Just don't expect a culturally diverse living experience outside of visiting the local Wal Mart!
As an Akronite, we have people from all over moving here it’s not bad at all
Chicago and live outside the suburbs. It’s easy enough to get to O’Hare if you’re traveling from outside the city and if you have to go around in the city it’s just a little bit more of a drive.
The COL outside the suburbs is extremely low.
