Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

When negotiating Salary, do you mention Glassdoor, Levels.fyi, or a separate source? Or neither?? Looking at a role I’m currently a candidate for and the discrepancy of pay between Glassdoor and Levels.fyi is absurd (IE Glassdoor average salary is almost 40K higher than Levels.fyi) Glassdoor also has more “data points”, for lack of a better term, than Levels.fyi for this role.
Thoughts??

Great to hear! Thank you
And current equity is worth 250k (only likely to grow…) sounds amazing. I definitely should have negotiated more

Honestly, the equity value will never “go down”. It’ll either keep increasing or just never go public or get acquired and then be worthless

The brand is to earn you money. Take the money. PwC brand isn’t all that special if you can get the second offer already.
That’s an excellent point. Thank you
Sounds like a no brainer?
Thank you!

Agree w above. Pwc doesn’t have brand value if your goal is product
Product marketing all day. You'll start back and ground zero when it comes to transitioning to product marketing - even if you spend two or three more years in consulting. At some point (and it's not much) there are diminishing returns.
Sounds like you’re on a right track. Best of luck!
VP role. There are going to be jobs upon jobs at PWC. Do the VP role and if you hate it - go back to PWC. They will still be there
True. Thanks!

VP of product comp sounds like massive title inflation
I agree!

VP role, especially since you want to do product. Relevant experience trumps the PwC brand name.
Another good point. Thanks!
Isn’t this low for VP level for product... I have heard SM getting slightly close to this comp, am I missing something?
It’s a small startup that is just past Series B. the team is made mostly of VP roles. so I’d say in title it’s VP (which is a plus for resume) but role wise it’s probably closer to SM. There are two manager roles reporting to the VP role.
What’s the bonus, LTI package
Bonus about 20%, LTI $250k
