Who wants a little tip on how never to get fired from a consulting job?

Anyone else hear that post-CRT partners will get fired this year in commercial advisory? How the hell does a partner get fired....

URGENT: Can anyone refer me for an entry-level software engineer/ Trainee Software engineer role (Java preferred)? I need a job on an urgent basis as my current organization has asked me to put down my papers due to changed business requirements (read layoffs) and has given me 30 days to find a new job. And I would really appreciate you guys if you can provide me with any help in this situation.

At this point in the game it doesn't make a difference where you at everybody is getting laid off at one point or another the only thing I say is try to repair yourself for it if it happens to you

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Would you work at your company again if you were laid off?

Tax Senior here. I’m well liked around the office, I put in the hours and work hard, I haven’t had any dumpster fire projects, but I am a mediocre performer compared to my peers (not as strong project management, communication, not as confident). I just got told they’re firing me. Should I expect severance? Have other people been fired for similar? What did you do with your career?

Have a big interview tomorrow. The question I dread the most is about why you’re looking for a new job. The honest answer is that there isn’t enough work to go around at my agency and I want to get ahead of the inevitable layoffs. What’s the best way to tell them this? Have an offer to start at Deloitte in July in Org Transformation consulting. If it doesn’t get pushed out because of the virus, is it a good time to switch firms in July? Concerned that layoffs may be imminent if I am so new to the firm. I will be coming in at the Consultant level if that matters.

A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out?
