Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Came for exposure. Leaving because I haven’t found leaders I aspire to become
Came for $$ dint get the $$ - so I leave!
Came, left, everyone was dumb, came back
Take me with. Pls.
I did an MBA, there was huge social pressure to go into consulting or investment banking and honestly, the way it was presented on the surface seemed to align with my values: Problem solving, opportunity for creative engagement, clear career path. Unfortunately that hasn’t panned out lulz
I enjoyed consulting, but moved to PM for more money and less time working
Coach
I joined consulting from industry because the offer was way more than I was currently making, and I wanted to join during Covid since I wouldn’t have to travel. As soon as I joined ACN, I started on a very long-term project with great WLB, so I’m in a pretty comfy spot right now. Definitely don’t want to leave consulting unless I end up having to travel or get transferred to a more stressful project.
I earned my graduate degree and would like to avoid the mistake that I made after undergrad — going into an industry and doing work that I have no interest in. Consulting gives me a lot of freedom to choose, to be creative, to learn new technologies, and to really get to know myself better. Do I enjoy my job now? Absolutely. Will I be in consulting forever? Probably not, but until I figure out my “true passion” aka something that pays a lot more that I feel alright about, I’ll gladly stay.
Idk I may be super naive I’m one year out of college and joined consulting to be able to better talk to non technical stakeholders as well as improve my own technical ability and get mentorship. I hope to find what I’m looking for
I want to get back into consulting. I’m tired of delivering world class results and being paid peanuts.
I needed to see this. I’ve lead my team through several IP events in 2021 alone.
I got a pat on the head and was told “who’s a good boy”.
Even the internal recruiters have ghosted me for open positions.
First real job out of school. I chose it for getting a wide variety of project/industry experience without having to job hop. The money is nice too. Will probably leave if they require extensive travel post-covid. Biggest downside is lack of a team/community, which is causing me to question if it's a good place to be.
ACN was pushing me into a multi year PMO project for a slow growing industry. So I YOLO'd into a completely different role/ industry as an in house consultant (basically), where Im a bigger fish in a smaller pond and now Accenture competes for my projects. I work harder and longer now but way more impact than anything ACN was putting on my horizon. Not looking back.
Wanted to work on public sector issues while staying flexible and getting broader exposure. Have it enjoyed it so far, no plans to leave!
Joined consulting because the company is a leader in the public sector space making exits to other smaller public sector companies leadership positions easy
So that my resume would be good enough to leave consulting
