Why is finding a job so hard? I just graduated with my MSW. I’m in the processing of obtaining my clinical licensure. I just need a job man, and I want one that pays somewhat decently. I just left child welfare and I want my pay to be the same that I made there or more. This just feels impossible and I feel so discouraged.

Come to MA and you will have many choices! Sorry to hear you aren’t finding much. I would suggest using linked in to find other social workers in your area. Good luck!

Once you get your LMSW in my experience people will come to you! But the pay isn’t always great. Not sure what you were making before?

I agree, try hospice.

Not sure what the pay looks like for child welfare but my first job as an msw was as a school based counselor and I loved it. That position also offered free supervision towards my licensure

Hi Folks,

I've got a job offer from a small IT company. But before releasing the offer letter, they want me to accept a terms and conditions form which has this 10th point as shown in picture. It states failing to join them will result in paying 2 months of salary that's around 130000 rs.

Is it for real? If I get a better offer somewhere else ane don't join them, will I really have to pay this to them? Please help friends. What should I do?

Hello, I’m an LMSW in Michigan. I have 15 years of experience in the field as a clinician, supervisor, and an administrator. I am feeling burnt out and unsure of my future. I have worked mainly in the Community Mental Health and the VA Health systems, hence my fatigue. I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I felt like I was lowballed during my offer, and my negotiation salary was denied since this is technically my first “professional” job. Pt 2 in comments:
