Our newborn but it’s just been so tough trying to make sure she can still be with her newborn (feed most importantly), but also take care of herself - all while also figuring out how to not upset our 3 year old. Not looking for advice on how to navigate…just looking for some encouraging words because this has been a tough two days with the rest of the week to go!
You got this OP!! It's all part of parenting. It can be challenging but you'll back a year from now and not even sweat it 🙌🏾🙌🏾
You will be through this quicker than you realize! Kids are super adaptable, even if they don’t show it oftentimes. So do what makes you and your wife function ok, the kids will be fine with whatever you prioritize.
Thank you!!
This is temporary. 2 weeks from now you’ll be back to whatever your normal is, enjoying your new baby.
You got this! Had a similar event with flu + Covid in consecutive weeks when my wife was 37 weeks pregnant with our second. Just treat every day like an individual challenge and try to celebrate when it’s over.
Hope it all worked out. Thanks for the advice - I like that!
Just had our 2nd 10 days ago, can totally empathize with the impact (Seattle office). Are you able to use our paternity leave? That's been huge for me to really focus on making things special with the first son and doing lots of extra chores around the house.
Yep! Taking the full five weeks!
And congrats!
