Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!

If you want to take the ‘test out’ of quarantine option you need to not only quarantine for 3 days and test negative; but also test negative within 72 hours BEFORE your arrival. Two tests total. Otherwise it’s the normal 2 week quarantine.
^ the rule is stringent but the enforcement isn’t. Also there are very few places in the US that are turning strong covid tests in <72 hours. 4-5 biz days is the new average (in September it was 24-48hrs)
Friend traveled in over the weekend — had to fill in the form. If you fill it in online, the national guard in combat gear will just look at the screenshot and wave you through.
Followed by that, he received a bunch of robocalls “press 1 if you are quarantining” for the first day or two along with extremely aggressive text messages “this is the nypd, sheriff etc”, “we’ll be knocking on your door to monitor quarantine”- lmao. After that didn’t seem like anyone cared.
If you are uncomfortable of filling in the details — fly through newark or philly and they’ll leave you alone, won’t judge you for doing that.
End of the day, its personal responsibility and you seem adult enough to do the right thing. All of this is pandemic theatre (similar to security theatre) meant to play to the press.
Yup make sense, thanks for letting me know to prepare in advance for the robo-calls lol - but it’s fine with me, I just wanted to make sure I don’t get stuck out there
Flew into LGA on Thursday, late in the evening. There was no one checking anything. The theoretical rule is either test negative <72 hrs before flying and again on the 4th day after arriving, or else quarantine for 14 days. In practice of course if no one is taking down your information, there’s no enforcement. I am following the rules but feel a bit silly for doing so.
No, test when you get back. Stay home for 3 days, if the test is negative then you’re good. On your way back they’ll test your temperature and ask you to fill out (an extremely invasive) health form. You’ll probably get a phone call from a third party completely frantic volunteer posing as a fireman/ saying she’s from NYS DOH threatening you if you don’t tell her your health information (massive HIPPA violation)- will ask a bunch of questions, you can tell them you got a COVID test when you got back, stayed home and it’s negative. They should leave you alone after that
Honestly they don’t actually check the validity of the details you put down. I’m not suggesting you put false information, I’m just saying they don’t check it.
No requirement to have a negative test to fly back to LGA
Flew into JFK, they handed me the form and no one collected it
