With January being over now, who is still going strong on a resolution that was made at the beginning of the year?
What has allowed you to go at least one month into your resolution?

I've mostly been good about sticking to my health and exercise goals. I've worked out 5x/week since the start of the year and have only really cheated on my diet once at my spouse's holiday party. I don't really have any motivational secret; I just got so fed up with feeling like a lazy slob that I knew I needed to make a change and the only way to do it was with consistent, daily effort.

That’s good! Hopefully you have seen improvement over this time period and are feeling physically and mentally in a better place because of it. My motto is movement = medicine.

For 10 years I would make resolutions on Jan. 1 and drop them by Feb. 1. Then I figured out a way to beat the Resolution Demon. The only resolution I would make would be to not make any resolutions. I've been "undefeated" for the past five years.

Not me. I didn't really put much effort into it this year. I seem to really get excited about change in March. The "spring cleaning" bug gets me and I make a lot of resolutions around that time.

Hi, I am joining at C9 level at Gurgaon. Can anyone please let me know what is the package range for this position & what’s avg. appraisal company provides to existing employees. Also about the work culture

I currently work at a small PI firm in Atlanta were EVERYTHING is settled presuit. If we’re unable to settle, then it’s referred to another firm for litigation. This whole process seems very atypical to me and the attorneys rarely touch a file until the first liability offer is received. The paralegals handle everything from intake to drafting the demands. The attorney briefly skims (does NOT read) the demand packages and signs. Is this ethical?? Anyone else work at a firm that is run this way??

How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? I’m the only mechanical engineer at my company dealing with a half dozen cranky production managers who think that I can “work my magic” on a machine. It’s not magic, just ignorance about the machine actually works. How to I get a manager to stop caring about the end product long enough for me to actually teach them about their own machine?
