I got my masters in business analytics and have not regretted it once!
That being said, if I had prior knowledge of the even the most basic tools, workflows and concepts that I learned in my program, I’m not sure if I would have taken it. I joined my program cause I was at a crossroads and it really helped me straighten my career path. it sounds like you have a good thing going and this would just be supplementary to it
What are you hoping to gain from this program? Career change? Additional technical understanding to use in your sales toolbox? Take all those things into consideration cause on top of the financial burden, you can kiss your social life goodbye for the next 1-2 years
I love my MSBA program! Very useful and I’ve since been promoted twice.
However, it is more useful for me because I have a bachelors in arts. It might not be the same for you.
I’d be happy to connect 1-1 with you to bounce thoughts about your personal situation.
How long is the program and where are you taking it?
It really depends… It would be inaccurate saying it is or is not worth it.
You’re unlikely to land a job, promotion, or raise due to having the degree. That said, the experience itself may offer exposure and networking that leads to opportunities you wouldn’t have had otherwise.
I would say a masters degree is one of multiple paths leading to the same place. If you’re not someone who is likely to pursue opportunities and networking on your own, graduate school is an alternative approach.
