Id leave IBM to run an ice cream truck.
Depends on the mall kiosk. We talking one that sells swag hover boards? Or the ones that try to rub anti aging cream on your hands? There's a difference.
at Deloitte, can't relate
IBM is for the ultimate betas
Name means nothing. If ibm paid a good amount more, I'd be there with a smile everyday. Brand names don't pay the bills, they pay ego
IBM = I'm Beta Male
I'd probably do IBM to McDonalds. At last they post profits.
Pwc is better than IBM? lol I didn't know that
Id leave PwC to work at a mall kiosk: its all relative
I'd leave MBB for deloitte
Is IBM rep really that bad??
I'd leave IBM for Conizant
Big 4 > IBM. Private firm all day
P1 we should be friends
Who the F cares about titles?
I don't but what I do care about is salary potential. If I don't end up liking it there and I decide to move, I'm sure the title will affect the amount of $ im able to get elsewhere
There'd have to be a good reason. For example if I were unhappy with the culture of my current firm, if another firm could put me in a practice more aligned with my interests/goals, or if it really were a big jump (like to MBB), then maybe. But it also means having to start over with networking and relationship building. Also the lower title is a big con.
Also check the title mapping. For instance "Associate Partner" at IBM is really Senior Manager at Big4. I'm still not sure WTF a "Senior Managing Consultant" is, despite having been one before realizing the error of my ways. So, your title perception may not actually be accurate.
