Let me guess, you're working on a presentation for a CEO 'needing' more money. As as the market tells you all is good, you've got to come up with proprietary insights...an opinion poll on Glassdoor to justify your clients salary hike.

The problem with this question is that it’s hard to assess without understanding alternatives. A person able to command a 750k-1m salary in a mediocre location is likely able to command a pretty good salary elsewhere.
You’re getting a bunch of answers from folks who don’t make anywhere near that saying they’d make a sacrifice to get lots of money. That’s a decent trade off.
If your alternative is $700k in a place you love then that’s very different than if your alternative is $400k
Alternative would likely be 400-500 but in a better place
