This post is so confusing. Where are these jobs? Are you licensed in both states? Are you a first year? You want to move to LA for music reasons? Are these part time jobs?
A few thoughts I would consider. First, neither job seems to pay very well if you’re living in HCOL/VHCOL areas. Remote works best when you’re in a LCOL area. Second, would living on the West Coast vs. NYC dramatically reduce your COL? The added expense of living in NYC can chew up that $25k delta pretty fast. Third, “no billables” doesn’t mean zero billables. Surely there’s some expectation there. Are you really going to work significantly less than 1200 hours/year, which is pretty rock bottom anyway? Fourth, what guarantee do you have that the remote job won’t suddenly go RTO?
1) very true re pay. I have also considered LCOL if I were to choose the fully remote.
2) even though no billables, the 4 days on/1 remote would be a true 9-5 outside of trials it seems. With the remote job, I’d have much more time for my side hustles/passion projects.
3) no guarantee really, but it is in a remote state (think Hawaii/Alaska) and everyone works in different time zones.

Sorry, let me clarify. I ran out of characters and tried to squeeze all my thoughts in.
1) The 135k salary job is in New York; the 110k fully remote job can be anywhere.
2) I’m licensed in NY, not Cali, but the fully remote firm is based in a third state where I can waive in. The 4/1 firm is based in NYC.
3) No, I have several years of experience (7+) but I am exiting the public sector.
4) My main hobby outside of work is music and though NY is great for that, most of the industry is located in LA and I would like to be more involved in that.
5) No, they are full time jobs
Check CA's rule 5.5 - if you live there, you may need to be licensed there even if you are not advising on CA law
Firm A is a no brainer

A2, don't believe A1 was looking for drama. I didn't see condescension. I understand meaning can get lost or twisted in the written word, though.

Are you joking?? How am I the one looking for drama when they came and attacked me... and now your joining in? You two are literally so dramatic for this. Also they said they were intentionally being condescending. How do you miss that? Funny how meaning can get lost and twisted in the written word for some but not all. Maybe try applying that rule to everyone, including me.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever been apart of. Snowflakes absolutely coming for me because I said a post was confusing and asked for clarification. Grow up.
