Y’all I’m struggling. I’m fortunate to have had immense career success, but it hasn’t come without sacrifice of the “traditional female path”. I’m almost 40, not married, no kids. I’ve battled cancer. What I’m struggling with is, is it’s hard to communicate and have friends and family, accept my career success as my “baby”. I love celebrating their life milestones but I’m met with silence when I hit mine because they’re not what they expect. Sad no one in my circle understands. I get it, but sad

You shouldn’t have to “get it”. Your friends and family should be showing up for you and your wins just as much as they expect to be celebrated at a baby shower/wedding! I’m in my 30s, married, but no kids and feel that a lot of folks are just self-centered. I don’t necessarily mean that in a negative way but more as a general statement, people get wrapped up in their own little bubbles and unless you’re promoting yourself you get forgotten.

I’ve started celebrating my own wins and inviting the people I love to join. The guest list has gotten shorter over the last year but “my energy is expensive and not everyone can afford it.”

Your accomplishments matter and you deserve people who want to celebrate every project close, every crushed deadline, every broken nail, and every time you thought about cutting your own bangs but chose not to! But while you’re finding it irl, let us celebrate with you here! Community comes in so many different forms!

I’m single and in a similar boat. Finding a life partner so far hasn’t happened. But I have been doing the same as underwriter 3.

The folks in college that I thought would be there just haven’t been there for me. Some days I’m lonely. But I find different ways to build community.

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂

Hello All,

I have recently joined
FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.

Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?

Can anyone please guide?

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

My mother-in-law says he’s worked on things, but it’s been 10 years of this and I’m not sure I want such behavior around my wife and our kids since we’re trying to conceive soon (cont).

Any superb restaurant recommendations in vail? My wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary and we just had our first child. Deadass the woman will not rest until I am tied down. Pray for me!

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

I am not from the US and taxes overwhelm me; the first few years I did them with TurboTax and it was fine but then I entered a domestic partnership and had a baby. I also bought a house (that I don’t live in), so I went to H&R Block to give it a try assuming they could advise me on optimizing my return, it seemed that they are completely transactional as the person is just typing numbers in a form. Any recommendations on how to navigate personal taxes with an actual advisor?

Afterward I feel normal, but it's a bit annoying, and I can't control it at all which is a little disconcerting. Don't remember this from when I took stimulants as a kid, but it's been a while.
