Yeah….. I should probably take some PTO.

Also, I noticed this pay period, my PTO stopped at 96 hours exactly, so it shorted me a few hours, does anyone know if BDO says 96 is the most, you can’t bank anymore after that? I don’t see anything in the handbook.

Take PTO or donate

I’m just going to take it. Make it a 4 day weekend for fun!

how do you get to this screen?

Home page- edge- it’s there on the right hand side.

like

I think you can bank up to 12days ONLY.

Check you offer letter. Don’t quote me on this but I think it’s :

Non-managers( 0-4years): max pto accumulation 96hrs/12 days
Non-managers ( 4 +years) : 120hrs/ 15days
Managers above: 160hrs/20days

And yes, it’s very frustrating especially you are ( almost ) not allowed to take PTO during busy season.

Even it’s granted, we still have to pay a premium for a day of PTO during busy. My office requests min. 12 hours /day. In order to take one day off, I will have to use 12hour/1.5 days of PTO…….

Not only we have less PTO compared with B4, the value of our PTOs are also diluted… MHO

like

Can't you just take random days off? I currently have 320 hours of PTO so I'm just taking random days off the rest of the year.

Aww congratulations and hope you have enough PTO for your honeymoon. 12 days isn’t much tbh. Since we can’t go negative on PTO, we were allowed to take unpaid time off when needed.🤷🏼‍♀️

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

How do you choose keywords to target in a blog when you're writing a blog that appears on multiple country specific versions of a given website? Do you use a mix of keywords from each region/country in one blog, or create different versions of the same blog with slight keyword differences based on the country?

Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?

Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?

After working 5+ years and letting life happen, I ended up back with a staff title (no career/group change). Everyone said I was doing well throughout my career. Has anyone else been in this situation? I feel partly ashamed because all of the work I put in didn’t get me very far in my career.
