Called British Airways for travel from India to US via London, Heathrow. They said Indian passport holders not allowed to transit via UK as per covid bubble flight rules. Anyone else faced this issue?

If you lived in Dallas and were starting to travel for work for the first time, would you go with delta or American? I know delta seems to be preferred by a lot of consultants but trying to figure out if it makes sense to fly with them since Dallas is obviously an AA hub

Is it worth it to pay $700 to buy extra miles/PQP in order to retain United gold status for next year? My partner and I fly ~6 round trips per year, several on Air Canada so we enjoy the lounges there.

Chase Sapphire Reserve is not able to book a ticket for me on Air India because the flight is not showing up on their system. The flights shows up everywhere else including on Expedia, which powers Chase’s portal. Anyone had similar experience?

My friend almost died of Delta(Covid). Lives in Texas and still adamant not to get vaccinated. It annoys me how people think. Vaccinations are not new to this world.. we got rid of polio and other deadly diseases. experiment or no experiment get what give might save you.. atleast that has some chance. If he were vaccinated, he would not have been so severely ill. And we still have people who think Covid is hoax. Please do not go about being immune to the disease now and hence no vaccine needed.

Flying southwest. Fairly full flight, though not 100% Second row is an older married couple with an empty seat between them. I ask them if it’s taken, and they get huffy and puffy and say not taken but they want it empty. I was like, well imma take it. AITA?

Anyone else having difficulty getting welcome points from American Express for any hotel or airlines? Years ago I got approved for a Delta card but didn’t get the bonus because I already had the bonus in the past. Recently opened up a Hilton card but found out I was denied the welcome bonus points since I’m deemed a high risk to close the account in a year. I havent applied for many cards in the last few years either and nothing with American Express

Want to upgrade my flight on American Airlines to Africa this summer (part AA flight and British airlines). Since it’s a discounted flight would it be cheaper to try to upgrade 24 hours before flight or request to upgrade now and pay the points and copay (25k miles + $550 per ticket each way). Likely will upgrade going and not coming back

I’m ~$250 away from silver for Delta. I’ve barely been traveling for work, so this year was all personal travel $. I’m out of NYC. Anyone know any hacks to reach silver? There truly is not anymore travel I need to do this year. V sad that I won’t hit it though!
