Seriously I have been single in Seattle for 2 years. The crazy thing is, I even had LDR with a dude in Boston while living in Seattle. I had bf in San Francisco before too. Is Seattle dating scene so bad?

Is this a fair way to calculate what salary to ask for?

(20% salary increase) + (COL of new city % increase + income tax % increase) + (current salary + 10% on current salary for bonus assuming new company doesn’t do bonuses)

If not, what do you guys do? I would be moving from DC to San Jose. TIA.

I'm up for a pharma agency senior CW role in the Rx/HCP vertical. I have been freelancing for 11 years, so mostly contract rates between $50 and $80 p/h (lower end on W2, higher 1099). They want to know my 1099 rate and salary requirements if full-time employee. Would $75 hourly and $110K be within range? They are in Philadelphia. Let’s say they make work from home permanent, what will they do about pay structure across areas where there are different cost of livings? Let’s say you are hired out of New York as the same level as someone in Houston? Will the Houston employees get bumped up or NY employees get bumped down over time? Looks like the real winners here may be those in high paying areas such as New York and San Francisco. They can move to areas now with low cost of livings and make a killing! Thoughts?
