Deloitte peeps .. I accepted an offer for a senior PDM role with hopes to transition to core within a year or two. I am on a DoD project within GPS (hopefully). What is the likelihood of me being able to switch as planned. My manager seems really. I had the best interview with him and he had nothing but good things to say to HR. Is this a good sign? I’m new to big 4 consulting so assuming this will be a good way to know if I like it or not. Idk these forums have confused me now.

Is recession hitting Indian economy? How is hiring in big 4 and other tier 1companies now?

Is it crazy if I exit big 4 (non strategy) right after graduating with an MBA after 10 YOE and go to MBB or similar to do strategy work? Is it taking steps back? Is it going to make my resume stronger if I later decide to exit Consulting and have those names, years and experience ( although not crazy titles since I'll be starting again at MBB)?

Is it possible for someone to begin their career in transaction advisory in big 4 without a couple of years of audit experience?

That is where my career goal is and feel that my experience, skills and interests are more suited for this service line.

I'm in FL and no matter what you think of the results either way i don't understand how there's such low turnout. I registered to vote at 18 for vote by mail (avail B4 COVID here w no reason needed) and have never missed an election even when i didn't know we had local ones bcos they mail it to you. It is literally SO FUCKING EASY and yet so many don't do it or vote at all? Plus we have tons of early voting too. As much as we suck in other areas we provide plenty of chances to vote

With how high big 4 salaries have risen over the past couple years, is it still reasonable to expect a 20% when leaving for industry? Or have industry rates not kept up with big 4 raises/comp?

I left Big 4 for industry for better work life balance. Our service provider is also a Big 4- I’m tired of the arrogance of a team who is always wrong. Getting treated like we work for them and having to send guidance to prove that they are wrong. And then getting a BS, oh we “assumed [insert some random circumstance that they had no reason to assume] instead of just admitting fault. At some point, wouldn’t you start listening, you “expert” you? This is the big 4 arrogance that clients dislike.

Currently a senior at big 4 audit. Thinking about exit ops into industry senior accountant role. Not 100% sure what exactly I want to do, so would like to work at a company that encourages/is open to internal rotations. Thinking F500 or even bigger is probably best opportunity for something like this - does anyone have an advice/experience they can share. Also, can you land a role like this through LinkedIn recruiters or is it better to try and find in house recruiter and reach out directly?

Hi, so I am an junior at the moment and have a big four internship lined up at Deloitte as a tech analyst intern and one at PWC as well in a similar role. From experience do any of you have ideas what would first year salaries look like for tech analysts or business analysts at big 4 would look like? & If I do end up recalling to Deloitte or pwc usually what is a realistic timeline for being a manager at the firm?
