Hello, is it normal to get rejection emails or no response at all from middle market firms like RSM but get offers from the Big 4?

-1.5 years in large scale Agile program management and delivery as scrum master/product owner
-6 months program management in finance/technology delivery & PMO, primarily PE portfolios but also with a fortune 100 bank.

why is it that mck consultants are so much more willing to help young people out compared to big 4 😭 the likelihood i make it into mck is sooo unlikely but theyre the only ones talking to me for coffee chats, referrals and general help

What are some exit opps in IT due diligence from B4? We get to see a lot but don’t manage “technology operations”. Not interested in a PM type role. Just wanna hear what other fishies have seen.

Would you take a PE analyst role at a ~15 person PE firm over mgmt consulting at a B4? Base pay is about the same but bonus is much higher at PE firm. I have about 1 YOE

Is it detrimental to move from Big 4 full-time FDD role to another Big 4 contract audit role from a career perspective? Both are manager level, however, the contract audit role pays almost double pays compared to my current FDD position. I’m considering this opportunity to increase my savings for the next 6 months and to prepare the recession (since Ive been on bench for awhile).
