Hi Everyone,
I am B com graduate with more than 8 years of experience in accounts receivable profile. Is CMA US worth doing for me?

And what kind of benifits I should assume with my career growth after passing it?

My current job title is clinical receptionist. I’m used to “new year, new job,” since I haven’t found one I’m happy with. I’m in my 30s, and $16/hr is the only thing I can find in SC/GA states. I loved my first year as a CMA in a float pool. I love venipuncture, injections, vitals, etc. I’ve tried PCTing, which would have been okay for me, if the manager wasn’t Jekyll and Hyde. I can’t afford to relocate, and I have a friend who offered a $35/hr front desk job @ Kaiser in CA. I feel Stuck.

Career advice needed
I have been working in the industry as an accountant for 7 years, most of my job is related to financial reporting, general ledger, and other sorts of accounting-related tasks.

I like the process improvement e.g. automate the repetitive tasks, and hence hate the copy&paste jobs as an CPA &CMA

I need some insights from you guys either in the Big4 Big 10 or Industry like tech company, what kind of job/title might suit me? If available, can you also DM with referrals?

Hey does anyone know the salary range for Senior Collection Specialist at CMA CGM?

How is CMA regarded in the current market? Was reached out by an EYP recruiter for the digital group.

Are they fully integrated with EYP or mostly act as their own org?

Ok what is the average wage for a certified clinical medical assistant now a days? I have 10 years experience and a phlebotomy cert as well that I use! I was brought on at 18.50 1.5 years ago now we can’t get anyone because people want 23-24 an hour with 3 years experience. Is that average now? I don’t even make 20 as the only phlebotomist in my office and that’s what they offered a new CMA with only 3 years experience! I brought it up and they said sorry we don’t make the wages HR does!

I’m a financial analyst in corporate fPA, I make 90k but honestly the work isn’t exciting and does interested me. I would like to get an opportunity in consulting. Does anyone have any advice on how to break into a specific consulting field aligns with a masters in finance and cma? As well companies ?

I’m a CMA who works in Behavioral Health. I have been asked to float to different offices to assist other providers because we are short staffed. I don’t mind because I thought this would be temporary. The problem now is the positions available have no applicants as of yesterday. Not one applicant! The positions have been posted for 2 months or more. I feel since I’m doing the job of 3 CMAs I should get a raise. Any ideas on how to present my case for a wage increase to management?

Really trying to decide between the CMA and CPA. I really love private accounting and don’t really think I’ll be choosing public anytime soon. However, I don’t want to close myself off to some opportunities in the future. I have no audit or tax experience nor do I want to work in those areas. I am really leaning towards the CMA. I have been looking at job postings on LinkedIn and even private companies are asking for CPA. There’s no mention of CMA in the postings at all. Help!

I will be making the move into industry soon and I am interested to hear everyone’s thoughts about getting the CMA designation. I am hoping to have my CPA done by the end of the year and wasn’t sure if jumping right into the CMA was worth it. Thanks in advance!

Is CPA worth it if I only work in industry accounting? I have my bachelors and masters in acctg, finished 2 years ago. I have 4.5 years experience in industry acctg, all at the same company. This company doesn’t have many CPA’s. But I’m worried if I try to leave this company in the future, I’ll get overlooked without the CPA. What do you think of someone getting CPA license but no experience in public acc? (I did a 6 mo audit intern in college, but that’s it) or maybe a CMA would be better 4 me?

Is it worth to get both CPA and CMA? Or should i just spend my energy for CPA? Job pays for both

I’ve been in public accounting for about 6 years and I feel like I need a certification. The CPA is not happening. What would be the most valuable CIA , CFE , CMA of CISA?

Are there any certifications that are useful if I’m in PE ops? Considering CFA or CMA but not sure if either are even worth it.

Question about CPA:

I’m about 25 credit hours away from meeting the 150 credit hour requirement. I was thinking about going ahead and sitting for all 4 parts and take classes while doing it. Does anyone know how soon you would need to apply for the license after passing all 4 parts? I know the CMA is 7 years but couldn’t find it for the CPA

I’m 3 years into my career and considering pursuing a CMA (working in industry and figured that might be more practical for analyst work than CPA). My work mainly consists of capital budgeting analysis for large projects…DCFs etc. Would anyone recommend pursuing a different certification (or MBA)? E.g. data analytics cert. Hi, are there any CMA’s/Medical Assistant’s on here? And can you tell me your salary ranges? I’m seeing salary ranges way higher than what I get paid but I live in small southwest Virginia and I believe salary ranges are much lower here but am curious to see what others say.
