What is the value of a Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Is the CMA certification worthwhile?

Background: CPA, b4 experience, no masters degree.

Looking at Controllers/ Finance Directors/CFOs I mostly see MBA/CPA combos, but I honestly don’t see myself going back to school. Was wondering if a CMA will be a value add to my career.

Hi Sharks, Need help to choose the right decision. I have completed CMA inter, can I choose oracle finance consultant job ? because I have an offer for that where I will be trained in that software Or should I only go in fully accounting field? Have 2.5 yrs of only accounting experience .

How much are Indiana CMA's making??

I need to get some sort of certification to become more reputable and be able to work my way towards Manager. I know CPA is most common, but there’s also CFA, CIA, CMA, and an MBA. What would be easiest? I’m thinking CPA or MBA.

CMA vs CPA?

Do you have to have x number of accounting classes to be a CMA? Someone was asking me about it and i had figured the education would be similar to CPA but Google says you need like 0 accounting at all???

How's a US CMA vs CIMA? Big 4 M in a finance transformation role who's become somewhat of a generalist who knows GBS and operating model design. Looking at this decision to study as an accelerator to exit consulting and having a safety net to do so. Preferred roles are in finance business partnering, program management or key account Mgmt (won't need a finance degree for the last two, I assume, but will help to drive conversations nevertheless).

How much extra goodwill do you ascribe to someone with both CPA and CMA, versus only CPA?

I am CMA qualified and have More than 5 yr of work emp accounts and finance /BPO

I am AM from last 4 years and devoted 7 years in the same orginization.I am an MBA in finanace. I am good at work, stakeholder handels their task only to me in my team (not even managers or above) because i am very good in SAP, BPC & Analysis. My management is aware of the same, but i think the only hurdle in my progress is that I do my work silently and not a minion to my seniors. I tried to change my attitude, but without sucess. Now I am planning to do US CMA, will it be a good idea?

If I’ve been rejected at the first round for 6 case interviews, should I give up on management consulting? The firms were LEK, Bain, Capgemini Invent, ZS, CMA, and Transom. Well, ZS only had one round. I’ve only gotten one final-round interview in strategy consulting and that was with an LS boutique. I just feel like everyone else is so much better at cases and that I suck, hard, at them, even after practicing.

Anybody here from cma startegy consulting. Would love to connect to learn more about the company. I like the space it’s in and looking to apply. Also appreciate if anybody is willing to provide a reference.

Would passing the CMA help a Corp. Tax Senior switch to a senior accounting position in industry? Already have the CPA.

Is CMA worth to get? Will it benefits when I look for industry jobs? Already have my CPA.

Is CMA worth getting after getting the CPA? Or is it better to get the CFA. Also don’t have much finance background so I don’t know if I can pass the CFA will require a lot of hard work. Interesting in hearing people’s thoughts.

I have no plans in leaving PA anytime soon but I figure maybe I should look into another certification that holds value and makes me more marketable compared to my peers. Appreciate any thoughts and advice.

Is there really any benefit to a 529 account? Investments are limited, the only tax benefit is state taxes, and your access is limited to qualified expenses. Why shouldn’t I just invest that money in a CMA account for my kids, have it actively managed and let it grown with them. Yes I’ll pay taxes on dividends and withdrawals, but seems like the savings are marginal, and potentially cancelled out when you factor in performance. Im feeling a bit of buyers remorse.

One of my friend was considering to do Cost management accounting (CMA - not sure if I got the full form right). He’s lost and wanted to understand about the opportunities doing that. I’m into tech consulting and have no clue about tax stuff. Kindly help me with the query.

Any thoughts on the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) vs. the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) as a way to ‘beef’ up credentials and be more marketable as a transfer pricing professional? I don’t qualify for the CPA so I’m looking into alternatives.
