Looking at a Facebook people strategy role and wondering if I’d have a higher chance at getting a first round interview if I was referred by a FB recruiter in a different department? I have another friend who is a FB benefits manager but he says 9/10 referrals of his don’t get one. Thoughts?

Yesterday I attended MS hackerrank test and was able to solve some Java based MCQ and one sql query correctly but not able to execute a code with any passed test case so should I expect a call from a recruiter for an interview?

Interviewing client side for the first time, what are some good questions to ask that one might not think about at an agency?

I was rejected for a strategy role at an advertising agency after 8 interviews because they felt I needed more agency experience. I’m in my 1st job post-undergrad doing in-house comms/mktg and currently getting my masters in Ad/PR. I’m dying to be in an agency setting. Does anyone have recommendations on how to showcase my skills, or build out “agency skills” while not being in an agency?

What’s an average S2 salary in FDD for high COL’s like NYC, SF, LAX and Chicago?

I make 195 in an internal role but am applying to outside consulting opportunities. I’m an experienced manager with an mba and a cpa. How much comp should I be targeting? I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’d love to work in a law school setting as a counselor or something but I can’t afford the pay cut. *sigh* Does anyone feel like being a lawyer is just doing homework all day? First world problems I suppose. I’m very thankful to have a job ❤️
